With Reports, you can analyze customer trends and display the data in various chart types. This tool helps you to visually access customer information such as:
- Discover the actions users take after they sign up or before they make a purchase
- Learn what your power users do differently than everyone else
- Optimize customer acquisition by identifying behaviors
- Explore your customers’ full experience - across all devices - to understand how each interaction is affecting the entire customer experience
The Reports object can be accessed under the Insights section. From the Reports page users can:
- Access the list of created reports
- Access the report itself
- Search for the created reports
- Filter the reports
- Create new reports
- Edit created reports' names'
- Delete the created reports
- Duplicate the created reports

Creating a Report
Under the Insights tab locate and click the Reports object. Once in the object, click on the Create report button. Add a descriptive name for the report.

Configure the report by the following conditions:
- User or Account report
- Event-based report
- Collection-based report
- Segment-based report
- Metric-based report
- Journey-based report
If needed, add filtering criteria to the specified conditions.

After clicking on the Create report button, the report will be provided in both graphical and table formats.
Report formula
Report formula dynamically displays the report definition. Letters in blue color show the created filtering conditions within the Report (e.g. A and B). Letters between the conditions display the formula conditions between the filters. Filtering conditions that are in the brackets indicate that they must be prioritized in the formula. Moreover, once the formula has been inputted, the user can check its validity of it by clicking Validate button.

Graph type
The graph shows the report statistics change across a defined period (monthly, weekly, daily, or yearly). The line in the graph displays the numeric change during the selected timeframe.
You can visually access the information by specifying the graph type:
- Line chart
- Stacked line chart
- Bar chart
- Stacked bar chart
- Pie chart
- Table chart
- Table
- Metric

Date range granularity
The graph granularity can be selected from:
- Day (D)
- Week (Wk)
- Month (Mo)
- Year (Yr)

Report comparison
Users have the ability to compare the already created reports with a certain date, such as:

- Custom date range

Filters
Users can specify the filtering criteria to the created report to show relevant results. Filters can be based on one of the following categories:
- Events
- Segments

- Attributes
- Sources

Breakdowns
Users can specify the breakdown criteria for the created report to show relevant results. They can show how certain components are related to the created report. The breakdown components are:
- Segments
- Attributes
- Collections

Report table
Aside from the graphical representation of the report, deeper numerical details of the created report can be accessed in the table below the graph. If users apply filters, breakdowns, and change the frequency, the table is also dynamically updated based on the report customizations.

Journey reports
The Journey insights reports allow users to generate Journey-specific reports. When a new Journey is being created and Running, two new events are automatically created:
- Entered - the total number of users that entered the journey
- Exited - the total number of users that exited the journey
If a journey has been configured with the Actions, such as:
- Send email
- Send SMS
- Send ticket
- Send Slack notification
- Update contact list
- Send Webhook
events will also be generated and visible in the report configuration form.
Creating a Journey report
Under the Insights tab locate and click the Reports object. Once in the object, click on the Create report button. Add a descriptive name for the report.

Select the desired journey and the journey-generated events.
NOTE: the Journeys option is only available if a User-based report is being created.

Apply the filtering conditions for the Journey generated events and Aggregation type.
NOTE: operators and formula are the same as for usual reports.
Breakdowns
For Journey reports users can only specify the breakdown by selecting the A/B split breakdown option.
NOTE: Only Journeys with A/B split controls configured can only broken down by A/B split.
