# Users

The Users view (opens new window) allows you to see a detailed summary of data associated with a single or multiple users.

# Search by users

You can get a list of all the users who are in your database. To perform the query, do the following:

Navigate to the Data > Users (opens new window) screen. Select "Browser by: Users" and click on the search button.

The screen refreshes and search results are displayed on the screen.

All the users are displayed in the table sorted by their Master Ids. Click on any of the rows to view individual results.

You can narrow your results by entering the identifier (usually email) into the search bar.

The dropdown "Columns" will alows you to select metrics that will show individual values for each user.

User count number shows the total number of users in the organization.

# Search by segments

You can get the list of all the users who are in a specified segment. To perform the query, do the following:

Navigate to the Data > Users (opens new window) screen. Select "Browser by: Segments" and click on the search button.

The list of all users in the selected segment are displayed in the table. Click on any of the row to view individual results.

# Heat map

Heat map allows you to view user activity visually.

In the "Browse by: Users" page, heat map will show how many new users are recorded monthly. The darker the color, the more new users appeared in your organization. You can view the exact number by hovering above the boxes.

In the "Browse by: Segments" page, heat map will show how many new users were assigned to the specific segment. The darker the color, the more new users entered the segment. You can view the exact number by hovering above the boxes.

You can click on "View details" to see the detailed information about the user.

# User details

From the individual user details page, you can view the following:

  • User events
  • Profile information
  • Attributes
  • Location details
  • Sources (user is in)
  • Segments (user is in)

# User events

The events section allows you to see all the user events in a selected time period.

You can click on each row to expand the information.

By clicking on the expand icon next to the event name, you can access the raw view for more details.

By selecting the filter dropdowns, you can refine the event list by specified events and sources.

Expand all/ collapse all - expands or collapses all the rows in the event list.

# User information

User information will show all the details which were tracked.

# Profile

  • Master ID - unique ID number assigned to every user in the organization.
  • Email - the email address that is used to identify the user.
  • First seen - the first time user's activity was tracked.
  • Last seen - the last ime user's activity was tracked.

# User attributes

List of all available user attributes.

# Location

If available, user location details (country, city, longitude, latitude) will be displayed.

# Sources

A list of all sources where user activity was tracked.

# Segments

A list of all segments the user is a member of.
