# S3 data import

S3 data import source allows you to import data to your project from sources outside of Intempt Platform.

You can send the data:

  • By uploading a data file (CSV format) on the Intempt console.
  • Scheduling recurring uploads via an upload URL.

# How to Import Data via File Upload

  • Create a new S3 data import source

  • In the source settings go to the schema editor

Note: the data file you want to import must be formatted based on the collections created. It means that every column must match the field title in the collection (e.g., field name “Amount” must match a column in the data file named the same). Checking the formatting is critical to make sure the data is imported successfully.

  • Select the collections you want to import via the drop-down list.

  • Select the data file and upload it via drag and drop interface.

  • Click the “Save” button. If the upload is successful, a green status bar will appear in the top bar.
