Managing a Research agent

Overview

After creating a Research Agent, you can use it in your journey flow to dynamically enrich user or account data based on natural-language prompts.

Updating agent

You can update the Research Agent at any time by modifying its:

  • Questions

  • Prompts

  • Target attributes

  • User/account filters

These changes will be applied immediately after saving.

📘 Good to know

Once the agent is updated and saved, the changes will take effect for:

  • New users/accounts who enter the journey where the agent is used.

  • Users/accounts who are already inside the journey and haven’t yet passed the Research Agent block.

Using the Research agent in the journey flow

Once your agent is created, it becomes available in the "Research agent" dropdown when configuring the Research Agent block inside a journey.

How the Research Agent block works

When a user or account reaches the Research Agent block during a journey:

  • The agent sends prompts and receives structured data responses

  • This data is used to update the specified attributes of the user or account

  • The block is considered completed only if all questions return valid answers

  • If the agent fails to answer at least one question, the journey is terminated for that user at this block
